Research has shown that Progesterone is most effectively
administered transdermally as a cream. This way it
bypasses the digestive system, which breaks it down before it has a
chance to reach the blood stream. Progesterone is made up of small,
fat-soluble molecules and is well absorbed through the skin into the fat
layers and then diffused into the blood stream.
Women have found
natural Progesterone effective in the treatment of PMS, Menopausal
symptoms (hot flashes, vaginal dryness, reduced libido, depression and
mood swings) and Osteoporosis. Menopausal women often have a 20%
decrease in Estrogen levels and an 80% decrease in Progesterone levels.
That means that their Estrogen/Progesterone ratio is out of balance.
This imbalance is responsible for many of the symptoms associated with
menopause.
Men are also finding natural Progesterone effective
in the treatment of decreased libido, osteoporosis, depression, and
symptoms generally associated with decreased testosterone production.
Remember that Progesterone is also a precursor to testosterone
production.
Pre-menopausal and younger women have also found
Progesterone effective in the treatment of menstrual disorders. It is
common in younger women to have an imbalance in estrogen and
progesterone levels.
Common symptoms of Estrogen dominance and Progesterone deficiency are cramping, breast tenderness, water retention, mood swings and headaches. Natural Progesterone can help bring the Progesterone/ Estrogen ratios back into balance, thus helping to reduce these symptoms. It can also help to maintain normal bone density, which otherwise starts to decline at about 35 years of age.
Since natural progesterone has a widespread regulatory and restorative effect on the endocrine system in the body, it has rejuvenating and anti-aging properties on the body as a whole.
Natural progesterone cream in a natural herbal base, containing 506 mg. of progesterone per ounce.
1 teaspoon = 5ml
1/4 = 1.25ml
1.25ml = 1.25grams
Therefore 56grams (total content) / 1.25 = 44.8
Therefore 900mg/44.8 = 20mg per 1/4 teaspoon
